Minor afternoon congestion at Sandy Point and scheduled overnight span closures.

2 advisoriesPeak EB 13mPeak WB 9m

The most significant event occurred during the late night and early morning hours when the eastbound span was closed for road work, forcing two-way traffic on the westbound bridge. Daytime travel remained largely fluid except for a brief period at 2:00 p.m. when eastbound delays reached one mile back to Exit 32 (Sandy Point). Although the bridge itself was clear during the evening commute, motorists heading eastbound encountered external backups toward the Severn River Bridge starting at Exit 28.
