Monday Commute Marred by Afternoon Construction and Lane Closures

Eastbound travel saw significant congestion at midday, peaking at 21 minutes around 4:00 PM with a 3-mile backup extending to Exit 29B (Cape St. Claire Road). Earlier, a right-lane closure for roadwork caused 2.5-mile delays from Exit 30 between 12:42 PM and 1:30 PM. Westbound traffic also faced a 1.5-mile backup at Exit 38a (Duke Street) during the 2:00 PM hour as crews closed the left lane to discontinue two-way operations.
