Where these numbers come from

When someone checks traffic here, we save Mapbox’s estimate for the drive. Each hour on the chart is the middle value from the last 30 days, rounded to the minute. Monday to Thursday are grouped. Friday, Saturday and Sunday each get their own. It’s the whole drive including the approach roads, not just the extra delay.

A pattern, not a promise

An hour needs at least four readings to show up, and busy times get checked more, so they can count extra. Blank hours just don’t have enough data yet. If a day is too thin, the chart uses every day combined and says so. Patterns refresh about every 30 minutes.

Crashes, holiday traffic, and wind restrictions can change your trip. Check live traffic cameras and the latest bridge report before setting off.
